I deal with a lot of products some of which are really well done and others which are just meeting the bare minimums.
This updated AIPER Seagull Pro Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner, Wall Climbing Suction Pool Cleaner has definitely impressed me. It does everything that they claim it does and more. I have almost always had two different pool cleaners. One that was robotic and would do the basic cleaning of leaves or debris things like that, but never seem to really get the sand very well. Then I would go in with a different type of vacuum and get into the nitty gritty with that to pick up all the sand. So it really was never just drop it and go. Now, I do not have to follow up with that vacuum one. This is so much larger than all other robotic pool cleaners I've had. It makes me feel like it's like the Humvee of robotic pool cleaners. It's not going to let any piece of dirt or grime past it. It won't let you be embarrassed when your friends come to hop in the pool. This guy makes sure it sparkly clean for you. And yes, it really does climb walls! I didn't believe that initially, but it's true!
Another bonus is the amount of time it cleans for. Way longer than previous units I've owned. I don't have to sit and watch it to make sure it doesn't give out. I am thrilled with this guy.
My new BFF!!
For the most part, it's good at the important things:
- Whenever it does encounter sand and debris, it sucks it up great!
- It's pretty cute having a mind of its own, climbing walls, briefly reaching above the water line like some aquatic beast slurping up any floating leaves and bugs that have accumulated around the perimeter.
- It looks really modern and classy, like it came from outer space to clean up my pool.
There are things that are not perfect about it:
- It is pretty heavy when dry (over 20 lbs, mostly due to the large battery) and even heavier once it's full of water. This does make it difficult to lift out of the pool for cleaning.
- Sometimes it gets stuck on parts of the floor or struggles to get all the way up a wall. This was no surprise to me. My house robot vacuum needs a lot of babysitting too, and honestly I'm still impressed how much independence I can let this pool vac get away with before I need to intervene.
- It misses spots (again: so does my home robovac, and I still find it useful).
I didn't expect a 100% pristine pool at the end of each run - what I expected was to be able to save hours of back-straining manual pool scrubbing and skimming every day, and this robot exceeded those expectations! It's more than adequate for daily maintenance while I do other things. And while I do find myself having to skim out the occasional missed debris, and strain to get it out of the water for cleaning and charging, it's nothing compared to the daily exhaustion and back strain of cleaning the pool all by myself!!
It arrives double boxed with the branded box hidden inside of a plain cardboard box, which is great as it doesn't show everyone what's sitting at your door.
Inside the branded box is the pool cleaner with instructions and various accessories. I am using this in an in ground pool and it is fantastic. It actually climbs the walls and cleans the bottom quite well even if it does miss spots from time to time but that is to be expected.
Also, it is quite heavy to begin with due to the large battery but once it is full of water, it makes it a bit more of a hassle to lift it out of the water. This is definitely one robot to lift out directly with your hands instead of one of those poles with a hook on the end.
The knob on the top of the robot allows you to just choose a mode you want it to clean such as just the bottom or just the walls or both. The knob also allows you to freely use the robot without ever touching an APP if you don't want to. But if you do want to use the APP, that allows you to actually map out a route and choose specifics on how you want it to clean.
Overall, it's a fantastic pool cleaner that sucks and works quite well. The downsides is the weight of the actual robot and the charging times if you have to use this frequently. Otherwise, works very well for our in ground pool!
This is well made, and the powered and control unit is well sealed. The grips seem to be well made and the unit and it gripped and moved EASILY and quickly. Works fantastically in my 18 x 36 in-ground sport pool. Did a great job after setting the pattern of usage and just deployed it.
I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to automate their pool cleaning to spend more time in the pool as opposed to working ON it.
This AIPER Seagull Pro pool vacuum arrived very well packaged.
It is fully self-contained and very easy to use. You can select different modes so you can clean just the bottom, the sides, or both in automatic mode.
Battery life is about 2.5 hours which is acceptable and long enough to clean most pools. Charging time is 4 hours which is reasonable.
It's a bit of a pain to retrieve the robot when done but it does finish off where it started making it easier to grab. The debris filter is very easy to access.
This does a great job of cleaning. It is very easy to use. It makes keeping your pool clean so much easier and well worth the cost.
It's a pool "robot" vacuum.
Has 3 modes, clean bottom, sides, or both.
Picks up everything like leaves and dirt. Cleans Extremely well!
I've used it twice so far on the same charge.
Extremely easy to use. Just take it out of the box and it's ready to go.
Smart robot, rechargeable (comes with its charger).
Such a convenience without hoses.
A very nice sized debris basket so it holds alot of dirt and leaves.
It's heavy to take out of the pool but does come with a hook that you can hook to your leaf skimmer pole.
This is a pricey item, but for someone with mobility issues and have a hard time cleaning your pool, this is the vacuum to have!
If you can’t tell I think this is a great value and I couldn’t be happier.
It could not be simpler to use and cleans the water nicely.
It took it a couple of run cycles to get our water clean.
Once we had it cleaned up this pool vac keeps it clean and we only run it twice a week.
The filters are easy to clean and do a good job of catching most debris with the exception of the finest sand.
It runs around randomly and covers the complete bottom eventually.
For the price I feel this pool vac is a good buy considering how well it works.
I would buy this again.
5 STARS
Easy to charge and begin using
Simple to clean out basket when finished
Grabs even the most minor pieces of sand while cleaning
It can be challenging to remove from the pool when finished using it without getting into the pool to grab it
All in all, I was impressed
It's incredibly easy to use—just charge it, drop it in the pool, and let it do its job. The cordless feature adds to its convenience, eliminating the hassle of tangled cords. The robot navigates the pool seamlessly, reaching every corner and thoroughly cleaning the floor and walls.
The battery life is impressive, allowing for extended cleaning sessions. Maintenance is straightforward, with easy-to-clean filters and a user-friendly interface. The AIPER Seagull Pro has made pool cleaning effortless and efficient. Highly recommended for pool owners looking for a reliable and effective cleaning solution!
The only negative is the weight. I'm 80 years old and taking it out of the pool takes some practice. While taking it out, when you get it to the surface, let the water completely drain before you take it out.
There's no need to take movies on it in action because the professional one on the Amazon site are so good. It actually cleans better than my Polaris sweep. i must have had at least 7 or 8 pool sweeps in the 50 year life of my pool. This AIPER 2023 Upgrade Seagull Pro is definitely a keeper.
Great value.
Wow.. what more can I say. I was not expecting it to work out as well as it did. I don't have a huge pool, so the charge does last a little longer than others. I like that I could set it to just to the bottom of the pool, since mine is just a cheap Walmart one, and I didn't want to chance the quality of the pool with such an expensive cleaner. I was surprised at how heavy it is in the water, which makes retrieving it a little harder for an old lady such as myself, so I would suggest maybe upgrading it so it self returns to the charging base when it is close to needing to be charged, if that is possible or not, I don't know, but it sure would be a nice feature for it. Other than that I have no complaints about this product. It is made with quality materials and workmanship. It is very obvious that a lot of thought went into making this product. I charges relatively quick, and is really easy to set up and use. I would highly recommend it to other pool owners.
So upon getting this, I charged it up and turned it on and dropped it in the pool. There was no real assembly required, more or less ready to go. It slowly moved around, to what looked to me to be at a totally random motions. It went back and forth all over the bottom of the pool, and even climbed the walls here and there... and when it did, it could take off surface debris too.
Is my pool as clean as when i spent hours doing it myself? No. But is it clean enough? Heck yes. This is my new go-to pool cleaner. If one run isn't clean enough, i'd just charge it up and let it run again.
This thing is going to give me a lot of free time back.
Lots of power and does a fantastic job.. Very happy
Put it together, uh it in, turn it on and drop it in. Clean pool.
It's a blast to watch. Just cleans it all, little stuff, big stuff and everything in between. Basket it big considering it's a bot. Charge it after your done and you are good to go for the next time.
Charges easy and fairly quick considering what it does. Lasts basically 2 hours and is so good, I don't have to scrub with the pool at all now!!
Highly recommend.
Though its pace is on the slower side, the cleaner’s thoroughness makes up for it. Plus, since it moves at a relaxed speed and doesn’t have any hoses, you can stay in the pool while it’s working without any risk of getting tangled up. The option to adjust the settings and focus solely on the pool floor is a useful feature. Importantly, it’s gentle on the pool liner, leaving no signs of damage.
The difference it makes is noticeable—after it passes, the pool floor feels noticeably cleaner. Overall, it’s an excellent, reliable cleaner that does its job well.
It went from an unpleasant chore to something that's almost too easy.
Out of the box, getting started took basically charging the battery. After that it's just following a few simple steps.
The robot roams the floor and the walls of the pool quite slowly, but since you don't need to supervise it, then who cares? It sucks up small particles and even an occasional leaf, leaving the floor and the walls pretty clean.
The construction seems excellent, and I had no issues with this pool cleaner. Loving it.
Cleaning out the pool cleaner is nice and easy, with good access and a large bin. With regular use the bin is never really too dirty either so that's really nice. Being waterproof (it's a pool cleaner robot after all) it's easy to just leave it outside to charge as well, though I recommend by preference to at least do so in the shade to not promote the degradation of the plastics used.
Overall, really satisfied with this product and can easily recommend this to anyone!
P.S. I don't find there to be a significant difference between the wheeled vs tracks models in terms of performance. It's somewhat negligible especially considering it's a hands-off cleaning operation.
I’ve had a multitude of cleaning vacuums ranging from manual to hose-powered to battery powered but this is the first pool robot I have had.
For me this pool cleaner robot from AIPER was a complete game-changer. We live in a semi-rural area with well water and though I had the pool filled 2/3 with water that we trucked in, if the levels ever went out of balance even the slightest while we were out of town then we would find hints of algae starting once we returned and it was a nightmare to get it under control again.
Since using this robot I haven’t had any issues with chemical balancing or algae. I charge it up during the day and then balance the levels after we are done swimming then put the robot in and let it do it’s thing. It runs for about 2.5 hrs and so at supper time I bring it in, clean the filter and then set it to dry out before charging it the next day. Rinse and repeat.
I only use the floor cleaning mode and not the side plus floor sinceI am wary of damage to the soft-sided pool structure. Once it is done charging I insert the filter and carry it over to the pool. I switch it via the selector knob to floor cleaning mode and drop it in. Viola, it’s that’s simple.
It does an AMAZING job of picking up debris and then I added small pieces poly-fill to the filter box to help pick up fine debris and the pool sparkles now. I haven’t had a single hint of algae or any issues at all now that the pool is being thoroughly vacuumed daily.
The vacuum is silent when operating and sometimes it’s a bit hide and seek trying to find it if I have the cover on the pool while it works. I can tell where it is by just the slightest ripple occasionally or when I hear it bump up against the side of the pool.
One thing I like is that even in floor cleaning mode the vacuum still travels up the first foot of the side of the pool so it gets into the edge. My pool has a seam around the edge of the pool liner that is the bane of my existence since it can be a haven for debris and bacteria so I had to constantly pull it aside manually to clean. The vacuum takes care of this entirely now.
As for smart navigation it does appear that the vacuum can detect the pool edges and travels in a pattern for the optimal cleaning. I have yet to see any debris left in the pool after a vacuum.
The vacuum can be heavy when lifting it out but I bought a super heavy duty telescoping pe with a hook in the end to pull it out and then once it is at the top of the water I pull it out halfway and let the water drain. Then I lift it out entirely and it’s easy to carry to the patio to dry out.
Overall this is a fantastic pool
Robot and I absolutely love it and will always have a robot bow as ping as I have a pool. 100% worth every penny for this robot.
